On May 26, the delegation of Uruguay XXI Investment and Export Promotion Agency(referred to as Uruguay XXI), led by CEO Antonio Carámbula Sagasti, visited JUMORE Beijing Office and discussed with JUMORE Chairman Lu Hongxiang about corporate cooperation .
Uruguay XXI is an important trade promotion agency of Uruguay having a great influence in the Latin America region. Its major task is to help Uruguayan and Latin American companies connect with global bilateral trade cooperation. In Oct. 2016, JUMORE was invited to the 10th China-Lac Summit as a representative of cross-border e-commerce, and its unique and innovative business model has attracted attention of companies both from Latin American and Caribbean area. JUMORE also signed memorandum for cooperation with Uruguay. Through efforts from both sides, JUMORE and Uruguay are having frequent interactions, and multiple progress have been made in the cooperation.
During the conversation, two parties had specific discussions on the deepening of cooperation, holding of China-Lac Summit 2017, and attracting Latin American companies to participate in JUMORE Platform for global cooperation. Antonio Carámbula Sagasti pointed out that, China-Lac Summit is an important platform to develop the trade relationship between China and Latin America, and also an important platform for comprehensive communication and cooperation in the region. He invited JUMORE to attend the Summit in Uruguay, and introduced that there will be lots of cooperation projects and opportunities in many industries, including infrastructure, energy, logistics, tourism, food, etc. Co-hosted by Uruguay XXI, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and Inter-American Development Bank, the 11th China-Lac Summit this year will be held in Punta del Este, Uruguay. Political leaders of relevant countries and first-class companies of the world will participate in the summit.
Lu Hongxiang introduced the development of JUMORE and its business ecosystem. He proposed that the two parties can implement their cooperation by encouraging companies to join in JUMORE platform, setting up Uruguay XXI Pavilion, and holding offline roadshows. He pointed out that JUMORE would use its platform for the promotion of the Summit and Uruguayan companies, and helped Uruguayan companies connect with Chinese and global markets via the enormous market resources and comprehensive service systems of JUMORE.
