How to get Official MiUI 9 Themes on MiUI 8 Device (No ROOT)

Xiaomi announced the MiUI 9 last month along with the Xiaomi Mi5X which is the very first device to come pre-installed with this version of MiUI. With the MiUI 9, a lot of new features have been introduced likefaster app load times, new design elements, shortcuts on the lock screen, split screen feature, smart functionality and more. Just like every new MiUI version, there are some new themes added in the MiUi 9. So basically, there are three new themes plus a default theme. In this article, we are going to show how to get MiUi 9 themes on MiUi 8 device. Let’s get started.

HOW TO GET MIUI 9 THEMES ON ANY MIUI 8 DEVICE

So, first of all, you have to download a zip file that contains all the three themes. Download it from the button below.

Once downloaded, the next thing you need to do is to extract the zip file to any location you want. Just tap on the file and there you will get two options – ‘Extract Here’ and ‘Extract File To’. You can use the first option to Extract the file at the same location where the zip file is or you can extract it in any other folder.

Once you have extracted it, you will see a new folder with all the three new official MiUI 9 themes. So, to get MiUI 9 themes on MiUI 8, we need to install these themes and apply them. For this, we will use the ‘MiUI theme Editor’ application that is free to download from the play store. Download it from the button below.

Once downloaded and installed, open it up and then go to the browse option. Now, open the folder having the three themes and select any theme you want to install first. Then, tap on next, and there you can change different things like Status bar, fonts, etc. Once done, tap next and tap finish. It will ask you if you want to install the theme, tap on OK.

Now, the theme will be installed and so, head to the official ‘Themes’ app on MiUI and tap on the ‘Offline’ button. Then, there you will see the new MiUI 9 Theme. Just select it and apply it
