DIY: Silk Flower Corsage

DIY: Silk Flower Corsage

Today’s DIY post is all about the flower corsage – except this one uses silk flowers, so they’ll last long after your wedding! Love that. Whether you make these pretties for your bridesmaids in leu of bouquets, or for your mom + grandma, there are tons of styles + color combinations you can make! Thanks to Michelle Edgemont for sharing the DIY! Lets see how she made them…

What You’ll Need:
• A variety of silk flowers (choose a few main flowers and a few accent flowers. It’s best to go with varieties that are relatively flat and look realistic)
• Hot glue gun
• Scissors
• Wire cutters
• 1.5” wide satin ribbon

Step 1: Cut the large blooms off of the stems using your wire cutters. Be sure to make the bottom of the flower as flat as you can.

Step 2: Trim a few accent flowers off of their main stems, keeping some of their small stems intact.

Step 3: Cut a 18” length of ribbon.
Step 4: Start with the main flowers. Hot glue them to the center of the ribbon.
Step 5: Hot glue the accent flowers all around the main flower. Tie on your wrist and enjoy your new flower corsage!
