Best Facial Serums Sensitive Skin: Aēsop Lightweight Hydrating Serum Review

Today let’s talk about my favourite Aēsop product: Lightweight Facial Hydrating Serum. My skin is kind of sensitive skin. This moisturiser with aloe Vera, Ylang Ylang extra is perfect for my skin type. The official site says that it’s suited to oily, combination, sensitive and blemish-prone skin. The light finish is for warm or humid climates. Well we can tell it’s an Australian brand from that.

The serum is very light and refreshing. If you put some drops in the center of the palm and rub few seconds you will find it changes from transparent to white.It is the best time to apply it on your face and neck. I totally like the foral, herbaceous, fresh smell. It makes me feel that I’m walking in a forest.

Packaging

The packaging is simple and clean. We can tell it’s environmentally friendly. Cool girls will love it!

User Experience

First I wash my face and dry it slightly. Then I apply toner using a cotton pad to get  freshly cleansed and toned skin.

After that put four to six drops in the palm and rub for 3-5 seconds, then apply it to the full face, gently tap or press until you can feel it almost completely absorbed. Finally, both hands warm up in the face for a few seconds. I never feel slimy doing that but my roommate got lol every time.. What I like Aēsop serum is that it does not contain artificial lubricants. However you may find  it’s not very easy to apply. There is a sense of tension in the skin. Therefore, it is better to use apply it by tapping and pressing or massaging.

My skin is sensitive and very dry, after using Aesop serum for about two months I feel my skin get better and dewy. However there is no obvious feeling for the antioxidant effect.
