With the RMB Clearance Bank for Latin America launched in Santiago, the implementation of joint research on upgrading China-Chile Free-Trade Agreement, and the increase of China’s participation in infrastructure projects in Latin America, the China-Chile relationship is developing at an unprecedented speed. Cross-border E-Commerce, which has great driving force for the trade between China and Chile, is receiving more and more attention from both sides.
Ambassador of Chile to China Jorge Heine led delegation to visit JUMORE Beijing Company on April 18th to discuss cooperation with JUMORE President Lu Hongxiang. In 2016, China, with extraordinary achievements, has surpassed Thailand, the U.S, and Vietnam, to become the largest trade partner of Chile. The cooperation between JUMORE and Chile will encourage the Chinese technology and capital to integrate into the construction of Chile better and faster, so as to improve the infrastructure, industry, and global connection of Chile, to support Chile in trade, innovation, technology, etc., help Chilean products to connect with the global market, and introduce premium services around the world to Chile. The cooperation between JUMORE and Chile will set an example to the world on the “Maritime Silk Road” cooperation via e-commerce.
The cooperation philosophy of “mutual benefit and win-win” has been stressed throughout the meeting. Ambassador Jorge Heine believes that the philosophy of “win-win” is the correct direction for the development of international relationships, and it is the very idea Jumore holds dear in its further and greater development.
After the meeting, Ambassador Jorge Heine cordially invited JUMORE President Lu Hongxiang to attend the release ceremony of the autobiography of Chilean President in May and the 207th anniversary ceremony of the Chilean National Independence Day in September.
