Beats Solo3 Wireless Review: $299.95 Worth It or Not?

Beats is a new brand for headphones. It released Beats by Dr.Dre headphone for the first time in 2008. And then Beats was merged by Apple in 2014. Headphones of Beats have fashionable design, great texture and excellent sound effect (especially for high pitch and low pitch). Beats is liked by many cultural and athletic workers, and it leads a great trend among young people. It has an impact as strong as some old brands like Sennheiser, and many celebrities use Beats’ headphone on many important occasions (maybe they are sponsored by Beats). Anyway, I was already impressed by Beats so I just bought the headphone directly.

Unboxing:

It is joyful to unbox it, but it is painful to look at your empty wallet. I use Canon M6 and 22 prime lens to record the progress of unboxing the headphone.

Using Experience:

Beats Solo3 uses Apple’s W1 chip. It has a battery that can last for 40 hours and the capacity of 5 minutes’ Fast Fuel charging. It can also set up and switch seamlessly with Apple devices, which mean that if you put the mobile phone near the headphone, it can be straightly connected without setting up manually. The same iCloud can be switched seamlessly with different devices, and you can also switch between listening to music and making phone calls. I have been using it to listen to music and the battery’s endurance is satisfying. One of my colleagues, who also has a Beats headphone, told me that the battery can last for a long time and, just like Amazon’s Kindle, this headphone only needs to be charged for every two weeks if you use it one or two hours a day. When I put the headphone on, I feel that compared with Sennheiser PX200, it can wrap your ears very well and you can’t hear any noise from outside. However, you will feel really hot and your ear will suffer from pain. I don’t know whether it can be used during suffer if there are no air conditioners.

Conclusion:

The headphone is overall satisfying. It is beautiful, fashionable, and the sound effect is pretty good. However, there are still a few disadvantages. For example, the interface that is used for connecting the headphone with the mobile phone is not compatible with new Apple products. The headphone is too tight and will bring pain if you have glasses on. Also, if you use this headphone in summer, you are sure to sweat a lot. I hope that the one who entrusted me will like this headphone, and I also hope that Beats can release more humanized products.
