Kazakhstan and JUMORE Cross-border E-commerce to Promote the Belt and Road Initiative
From February 21 to 24, JUMORE delegation paid a visit to Kazakhstan at the invitation of the Kazakh government. Kazakh Prime Minister Bakhytzhan Sagintayev warmly welcomed the JUMORE delegation and held a meeting with the delegation to discuss the cooperation issues in terms of cross-border e-commerce, finance, science and technology, industrial development, and promoting new economic growth patterns.
During the visit, the JUMORE delegation also had meetings with the president of Astana International Financial Center (AIFC), the mayor of Astana, and leaders of some other important institutions including KAZNEX INVEST, a major development institution under the Ministry for Investment and Development of Kazakhstan, the state-owned logistics enterprise KTZ Express and Kazakhstan’s largest chamber of commerce, Atameken, reaching a lot of cooperation consensus in the area of bilateral and multilateral trade, finance, investment and logistics, etc in the context of the Belt and Road Initiative.
As an important node on the Belt and Road trade route, Kazakhstan borders on China, making it the first stop of China to Central Asia. JUMORE has maintained close cooperation with
Kazakhstan for a long time. In 2016, JUMORE made in-depth exchange with the Kazakh embassy in China and reached strategic cooperation with several important institutions of Kazakhstan. During the G20 Hangzhou Summit, Bakhytzhan Sagintayev made a visit to JUMORE and highly appreciated the JUMORE model.
The E4B (Ecosystem for Business) model designed for global positioning, complete industry chain coverage and all-round service is the key of JUMORE’s attraction for Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan has a wealth of natural resources, but its raw material-based economic structure is vulnerable to fluctuations of the international market. In addition, Kazakhstan is in urgent need of transformation and upgrading with respect to the scale, added value and technique, etc of the energy processing industry. In view of this, JUMORE will, by means of its E4B model, help Kazakhstan efficiently get access to the global market, enabling its rich natural resources and goods to reach huge Chinese market and global market. Meanwhile, JUMORE will also promote the export of Chinese high-quality goods to Kazakhstan in response to its domestic demand, to further enhance the economic and trade exchanges between the two sides. On the other hand, by virtue of the global resources on JUMORE platform, Kazakhstan could introduce investment, technology and services from all over the world, and carry out manufacturing-capacity cooperation. In addition, Kazakhstan has a huge demand for the construction and upgrading of infrastructure, and there is a broad space for the cooperation between China and Kazakhstan in the fields of road, railway, port, communication and energy, etc, so JUMORE’s E4B model can help the country attract investment from Chinese enterprises and even global enterprises. JUMORE’s E4B model will also push ahead with the development of the Belt and Road Initiative in Kazakhstan, to promote the cooperation of Kazakhstan with the countries along the Belt and Road trade route, as well as Chinese provinces and cities.
It is noteworthy that, in addition to Kazakhstan, JUMORE has reached cooperation with more than 120 other countries and all Chinese provinces to help every country and region get access to JUMORE’s global ecosystem, enabling them to complement each other and achieve mutual benefit and win-win result. The cooperation between JUMORE and Kazakhstan is expected to create a completely new way for the country’s economic transformation and lay a solid foundation for deepening the Sino-Kazakhstan cooperation.
